The 70-272: Supporting Users and Troubleshooting Desktop Applications on a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System exam covers topics such as email accounts, newsgroups, application security, name resolution, and security permissions.
The MCDST exams will not include labs or a practicum, but exams may include various innovative testing technologies to present a more realistic visual representation of the products and skills on which you are being tested so that your exam experience more consistently reflects the types of tasks you might perform on the job.
Beginning with the release of the Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003–related exams, Microsoft requires a minimum passing score of 700 on all exams. The maximum score on the exams will vary depending on the complexity of the skills being measured. There are 50 questions and the exam last 90 minutes.
